Hey, thanks for the comments. I don't plan any more mods except maybe a thor skid plate and a roof rack.

I will have to get back to you when I'm ready to "chip" my 1.8T A4. Does a K& N air filter help much? It's my first turbo, so I don't know much about downpipes, but I hear that changing it helps. Flowmasters? I wonder how many parts can be interchanged betw models.

Hey QW,
The APR chipping makes a huge difference. According to their website, it takes the Passat AWM (which I have) motor from 170 HP and 160 ft lbs tq to 214 HP and 247 ft lbs tq. I have a K&N air filter too, but I'm not sure it makes any difference. I have heard that parts between a FWD Audi A4 and FWD Passat can be interchangeable, but of course, limited. From what I've read, after getting chipped, getting a larger diameter downpipe and exhaust are the next mods to do if you're looking for HP, along with relocating the side mount to a front mount intercooler. Last week I found out the steel braiding on my downpipe is trashed, so I may be browsing for new exhaust in the spring! I'm not sure to be happy or upset yet, since I don't want to get a performance exhaust and it turn out to be too loud for my taste.
